Geri - hoping for a better 2010
Welcome to Geri Nicosia, kart racer!
Geri has won the 2008 and 2009 Junior Grand Prix series at Rogue Racing in Aylesbury, but with his father having been out for work for 18 months, there was no outdoor racing at all during 2009. Rogue Racing are not running a Junior Grand Prix series for 2010 so Geri has barely driven a kart all year - until now! With his father back in work, the plan was to enter the Rye House Honda Cadet round in August, but a late football injury to Geri's knee left him barely able to walk, so the comeback had to be postponed until the September round.
It is hoped that Geri will enter the remaining rounds at Rye House this season, it's been 21 months since Geri's previous race so what little we had learned is long forgotten. It's going to be a tough learning curve, but hopefully we can spend the rest of this season reaching a position ready for a good 2011.
