Geri missed the October round at Rye House, but got back for the November round - read the report here

Finally Geri goes racing - read the report here
28th August:
Geri's knee has now recovered enough to resume his sporting activities, so another pre-race weekend test session was arranged at Rye House. There was a punishing 15 minute on/15 minute off schedule, and Geri was trying to make the most of it. After 5 15 minute sessions in under 3 hours, Geri was tiring but was also proving much more consistent, getting close to the metronomic lapping he always did racing at Rogue Racing. We stopped for lunch, and Geri was treated to a new set of Cadet tyres, the ones on his kart are over two years old. Disappointingly, a couple more sessions after lunch didn't show the hoped for improvement, and by now Geri was that tired that he couldn't really tell the difference of 7psi between the two sessions.
1st August:
Disaster as Geri pulls out of his first race meeting in 20 months. Sometime during the week Geri hurt his knee and could barely walk. By the Saturday he was using crutches to get about and couldn't do anything without being in pain. Plainly there was no way he could drive a kart, he even gave up fooball practice all week.
24th July:
The new beginning is in sight, Geri can go racing again. He is entered to race at Rye House next week in the Honda Cadet race. We have long suspected that Geri's engine was down on power, but figured it was not important while Geri himself could provide more speed. But he has been handicapped long enough, so his engine was sent off to RPM for a rebuild. Fresh from this and refitting at Rogue Racing, it was time for a pre-race test session. It's only been 3 months since Geri last drove, so he got back up to speed within a session this time. The new engine was delivering better lap times but not by as much as hoped for, Geri was now consistently running low 44s, but still needs to work on this. We figure that the competition of race day will find some more time, and track time will find the rest he needs.
12th April:
3 days short of a year since Geri last drove his kart! We had it checked out at Rogue Racing and found that, "shock horror", Geri has grown since last year. A new set of pedals were ordered and fitted in time for a test day during the school break at Rye House. Geri has not even driven an indoor kart for 2 months, and took a while to get back up to speed. By the end of the day we were getting there, Geri was throwing the kart around with confidence and was fully 4 seconds faster than at the start of the day. Still 3-4 seconds adrift of race pace though, but we are sure the speed will come.
